Hi,

I usually take dead birds to the Acadia Biology Dept. Museum (Luke DiCiccio
was the contact person, but he may be off for the summer now). You could
call the biology dept. and find out who the current contact person is. I
imagine the NS Nat.Hist. Mus. would be interested too.

Richard

Hello everyone:

Just got back from Halifax. There was a dead adult red-tailed hawk by the side of Highway 101, a few kilometres on the Halifax side of Exit 4. Judging by the angle of the neck I'm guessing it went head-to-head with a vehicle and lost. No bands.

It is currently in a plastic bag, cooling off in my freezer. Is there any organisation (DNR, Museum, etc.) that would want this bird?
