Thank you so much, Joan, for posting that info about BIGBY. When I began
birding I was shocked to discover that some birders have driven hundreds of
thousands of kilometers to birdwatch and that many even fly (in airplanes)
to distant lands to see different birds! It seemed so UNgreen and mean to
birds that it didn't make sense at all to me. And last year I received a
letter from some famous birder asking for donations toward his travels to
talk about birds. Well, hmmmn. The Internet seems a good a place as any to
share one's knowledge, and you don't have to even leave home. :) This BIGBY
initiative is a huge relief to hear about, finally going in a sane
direction. Thank you again!
