--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thurs., June 5, 7:30 p.m. - Halifax Field Naturalists talk:
Point Pleasent Park - Where from here?
While Hurricane Juan was in many ways a disaster for Point Pleasant Park, it was somewhat predictable given past injuries, management practices, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's cutting for the Brown Spruce Long-horned Beetle, and natural processes in Acadian forests. Peter Bigelow, HRM's Manager of Real Property Planning, will present a brief history and overview of the Park as well as current and future efforts to restore this most beloved historic site. Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History, auditorium, 1747 Summer St.
