Thanks for the post Patrick. I'm a very new birder (since last month) and
also in Kingston...believe it or not, the Rose-breasted Grosebeak is a new
lifer for me. After reading your post I decided to grab the camera and go
for a drive, I stopped first at Walkers Brook on Bishop Mnt. Rd. where I saw
my first RBG :) went to snap a shot but hadn't formatted my card and by the
time I did he had already taken off...I drove around the corner onto
Pleasant St. did a lil' pishing and out came another one along with many
Common Yellow Throats, Chestnut sided's and Yellow Warblers. I continued on
and stopped at Marshall Rd where it crosses Walkers Brook and saw another
RBG and many more Warblers, Sparrows and such :)
Thanks again for the post, it was really nice birding only a couple minutes
from home.
