I have been wanting to see it again ever since it first aired in 1957 on the very serious BBC program Panorama. It was extremely well done and sounded exactly like a documentary of the time. I remember my fathers reaction to it. He was livid and stormed round the house yelling" I KNOW spaghetti doesn't grow on trees! Where did they get this from? When it was pointed out that it was April 1st, he dismissed the idea, "the BBC doesn't play tricks". I thought I was going to burst. Huge numbers of people were taken in and they tried a few other schemes in subsequent years, but by then their reputation had changed. A great memory, thanks again, [john Belbin] John Belbin -----Original Message----- From: naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca [mailto:naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca]On Behalf Of Suzanne Townsend Sent: April 1, 2008 7:31 PM To: naturens@chebucto.ns.ca Subject: Re: [NatureNS] Penguins don't fly -or do they?
