The recent analysis of the western meadowlark was an interesting addition to
our knowledge base of bird identification. However I would like to add a
comment. Over the years we have relied on Murray Newell and the Sable Island
birders, with their sharp eyes and great birding skills to be there when any
stray bird flies through the wonderful Cape Sable Island bird trap.
Murray and others pin point the bird and its there for us to chase if we so
choose. I would like to thank Murray and the gang for all their
contributions over the years. It's made our Nova Scotia birding very
special.

Joan Waldron
