Thanks to Brian for that additional record of the NB W. Meadowlark. My impression is that the CSI bird is different. The pale margins on its back, scapiulars in particular, are much more pronounced. (This can't result from molut, which is complete earlier in fall in meadowlarks). I'll bet there are more lurking out there. Cheers, Ian Quoting Brian Dalzell <dalzell@nbnet.nb.ca>: > Here is a link to some images of a similar (the same or another?) > bird found in New Brunswick on Dec. 6, 2007 by Stuart Tingley. > > http://stubird.dreamhost.com/Meadowlark6Dec2007CapPeleA.jpg > http://stubird.dreamhost.com/Meadowlark6Dec2007CapPeleC.jpg > http://stubird.dreamhost.com/Meadowlark6Dec2007CapPeleG.jpg > http://stubird.dreamhost.com/Meadowlark6Dec2007CapPeleI.jpg > > > > Eric L.
