Feb. 12, 2008 - 500++ BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were near our Wolfville yard, and
collectively their trilling notes were loud enough for even me to hear!
What a treat for this hearing-impaired person!

I watched about 12 AM. ROBINS flying over our yard, and right behind them
and flying very low was a small SHARP-SHINNED HAWK.

Feb. 13, 2008 - MORE SNOW THIS MORNING, apparently to be followed later
today by lots of rain and then freezing rain -- glad Iım not a wild
creature!

The WAXWING SHOW continued this morning, with 500+ in and around our yard in
Wolfville -- nearly all BOHEMIANS, but there were at least a few CEDARS that
were separate when I saw them in our multiflora rose bushes.

Also present again were several AM. ROBINS, male and female CARDINALS, etc.
The BALTIMORE ORIOLE was not seen for the past two days, same for the
CLAY-COLOURED SPARROW, but the imm. WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW is still present.
