Here's a short interchange between Terry Murphy and me regarding the comings
and goings of CROWS in early morning and mid to late afternoon every winter
day in the Grand Pre/Avonport areas.

Does anyone know anything current about the roosting situation now in
Kentville, Berwick, Coldbrook, etc.??

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville

There are thousands of them [crows] that fly over here going northwest in
the morning and then the same numbers going southeast in the late afternoon
every day. I think they are roosting overnight somewhere between here and
Lockhartville and they are spending their days right around Avonport and
Grand Pre in the corn fields.

Thanks, Terry, from Jim -- I had a similar sighting of thousands of crows
east of Wolfville at the same time, and I'm not sure what to do with them!

Hi Jim,

In one hour 11:00 AM until 12 noon.

1 Redtail Hawk
2 Mature Eagles
1 Chickadee
4 Bluejays
1 Morning Dove
3 House Sparrows
1 Junco
1 Male Pheasant

At 4:00 PM I saw about 2000 crows in the feild near my house.

All sightings were from my yard at 162 Bluff Road Avonport.

Terry Murphy
