Whoops, I did it again!
A sharp-eyed reader has pointed out an error in my previous posting. In the last sentence: "We could NOT re-find the YB Cuckoo or the OC Warblers which I reported on Sunday." Sorry for any confusion.

Hello All,
Having missed the Blue Grosbeak in previous attempts, Suzanne Borkowski and I made another attempt this morning. We parked by the side of the road past Seaview Park and just before Gate #2 (locked) to the City Field yards. Within a minute or so of us getting out of the car, the Blue Grosbeak (a female or an immature) flew out of some multiflora and perched briefly on the fence. It then flew ahead about 10 m and landed low down in the tangles between gates 2 and 1. I quickly returned to the car for my camera and was able to get one poor pic of the backside of the bird before it flew across the yard and perched on a piece of concrete near the top of the huge pile inside the yard. We walked around the yard but were unable to re-find the bird.
We then drove into the yard through gate #1 (open) and worked the tangles towards the south end of the yard. The only other birds we were able to scare up were House Sparrows, Starlings and a few Song Sparrows in the tangle right next to the Container terminal.
We then walked the trail in nearby Seaview Look-off Park but found only A. Goldfinch, more Song Sparrows and BC Chickadees. We could re-find the YB Cuckoo or the OC Warblers which I reported on Sunday.
