The ospreys on Mosher's Island (behind Silver Sands beach in Cow Bay) have raised 2 young succesfully this summer and have still been using the nest occasionally, as their home base I guess. However, tonight there were 2 mature bald eagles standing on the nest.
I have heard of eagles and ospreys taking over existing nests but I always thought this would happen in the Spring. Any thoughts?
