Speaking as one of the less knowledgeable people on this list, I sincerely
hope that none of the more informed list members is ever discouraged from
posting by pressure to use words that everyone can understand. I am here to
learn. If someone uses a word I'm unsure of I can always look it up (very
easy on the Internet), figure it out, or if neither of those strategies
works, rely on the generosity of the members of this list, who answer even
the most uninformed questions with patience and grace. This is not in the
slightest an imposition on me-on the contrary, looking things up and asking
questions are part of my education.

 

Those of you who have knowledge to share-please continue to do so using
whatever language is most convenient for you. Happily and with gratitude, I
will make whatever effort is required to understand what you have to say.
