Yesterday morning at Palmeter Woods (Kentville) there were many 
species near the parking lot. I recorded 25 species within 200m. The 
only new birds for me were Blackpoll Warbler and (2) Wilsons 
Warblers. One of the latter was singing which was a treat not often heard.

I almost stepped on a Junco nest. The nest was on the ground (as most 
of them are) and was artfully concealed by last year's grass held up 
by a single horizontally branch. The nest itself was in a hole far 
enough in so I could not see the eggs.

The other day at Butler Road I encountered a number of Veeries but 
none were vocal. However I heard one calling yesterday along the RR bed.

My best find was two Eastern Pine Elfins. Three pics of this fairly
