	This evening our swifts finally arrived. First Jim Wolford saw 3 pass
over the chimney very low at 8:12, but they did not go in. He left Judy Tufts
and myself to continue on with the watch. At 8:34 5 appeared and flew
around the chimney for awhile. One broke away and flew off by itself to the
SW. The four disappeared, but at 8:40 they returned and 3 went in quickly;
while the last one dallied for a bit but finally went into the chimney. Would
the last one reappear? We waited and waited and were just about to pack it
in when Judy saw the last one quickly dive into the chimney with the others.
I did not see it at all, and she nearly missed it! It is so easy to do. What a
grand way to complete our bird counts today. JET
