Index of Subjects Hummingbirds combine the body of a cottonball with the personality of an enraged rhinocerous. Male hummingbirds in particular have a reputation for being very aggressive in defense of a good food source. If you have a feeder on or near your deck, or if there is some other good food source nearby, that would probably explain this behavior. Every time the chickadee moved the hummer followed it and resumed its zig-zag behaviour. The chickadee finally flew off, hotly pursued by the chattering hummingbird. What would this be all about?
