David McCorquodale and I spent Saturday birding in the Glace Bay area.
We identified about 50 species including a male INDIGO BUNTING at a
feeder at Morien Bar.
Also seen included:
White-throated Sparrow (first of the season for us)
Tree Sparrow
Savannah Sparrow
Kingfisher
American Kestrel
Wood Duck
Green-winged Teal
Ringed-necked Duck
Northern Gannet
Greater and Lesser Scaup
Bufflehead
Wigeon
Purple Finch (many)
Gulls including Glaucous, Iceland and Ring-billed

We had a great day and escaped most of the rain!!
David Johnston
