Tuesday, May 1, 2007 - Halifax Field Naturalists -- Field Trip -- Dal Museum and Greenhouse -- 
Stephen Fry, Chief Technologist at the Dalhousie Department of Biology and Curator of the McCulloch Museum, will guide us on a tour of the collections. Of special interest are the bird specimens from 1884. Furthermore, seashells, insects, and ceramic mushrooms are on display. 
    Following the museum tour, we will visit the Dalhousie Greenhouse on the top floor of the Life Sciences Centre, which hosts, besides diverse plants for study and research, the collection of cacti donated by Paul Brunelle. Please register, since the tour is restricted to 15 participants

      .  Time and place:  6:30 p.m in front of the McCulloch Museum, Dalhousie Life Sciences Centre. Turn off from Coburg Road onto Lord Dalhousie Drive (between King's College and the Dunn Building). At the four-way-stop, turn right for parking. The only evening entry into the Life Sciences Centre is at the top end of the parking lot. To enter the building, descend a few steps. The guard may ask you to provide a piece of photo ID. Meet in front of the McCulloch Museum, which is a few metres up the hall.
