All: Walked with Bernice about 3 km east on the Salt Marsh Trail, Cole Hbr., HRM, and was interested to see, among several hundred Ring-bills, at least 35 scattered, adult plumaged Black-headed Gulls. Some of the latter seemngly courting on the marsh proper were. I repeat last year's musings that this looks like the breeding habitat where they breed at Stephenville Crossing, Newfoundland. Two Black-bellied Plovers in near alternate plumage were presumably migrant arrivals, as was, clearly, an Osprey. Cheers, Ian McLaren
