I am also getting Song Sparrows on the Niger feeder as well. Both the Song Sp and Junco though have to rely on the seed dropped to the base by the Goldfinches as I have not seen either take seed from the small slot. I have seven multistation feeders up so they are certainly choosing to land on the Niger only feeder and staying there.

I am glad though for all the sparrows and juncos as now the pigeons have less to feed on as they were my only millet feeders this winter in any numbers.

A few juncos regularly eat at my hanging feeders, and a couple also
have taken a liking to suet, as well as shelled peanuts. In the past
a couple have also eaten niger, though that seed is not on offer in
my yard at the moment. Most of the juncos do seem content with the
white millet, but a minority always seems adventurous and willing to
experiment. I've never witnessed this curiosity among any of the
other ground-feeding sparrows, such as Song and
White-throated. Maybe juncos are smarter. . .
