Hi Dave and All
Reports from reliable sources from several parts of
the province tell of deeper than usual ground freezing
this year due to lack of snow. One farmer had water
pipes frozen that had been laid a number of years ago.

One old farmer that I knew said it was good for the
hay crop - deep frost - held the moisture in the soil
so the hay got a good start. Again he lived in a sandy
place with no lack of drainage.
Enjoy the spring
Paul
