This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0003_01C76DCC.A6D6F610 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi all Here are a few recent pics I have uploaded to my photo site, starting = with an adult Glaucous Gull that dropped in to Sullivan's Pond on March = 13th: http://bernieb.smugmug.com/gallery/916397/4/45171340/Medium http://bernieb.smugmug.com/gallery/916397/4/46469453/Medium http://bernieb.smugmug.com/gallery/916397/4/46469460/Medium On Wednesday March 21st I had viewed two different Bonaparte's Gulls. = One was an adult on the small "island" at Sullivan's Pond with the = lighthouse and totem pole on it. The other was a juvenile that made a = brief, but very close appearance at the harbour outflow at the bottom of = Jamieson St, as seen here: http://bernieb.smugmug.com/gallery/916397/4/46469465/Medium Here are four distant images on a rather dull day from Thursday March = 22nd, put together as a collage, of one of a pair of Common Ravens that = were removing eggs of the large resident domestic white geese of = Sullivan's Pond, depositing them elsewhere to attend to later. Although = they don't look significant, these eggs are larger than a standard hens = egg: http://bernieb.smugmug.com/gallery/916397/4/46469808/Medium Here is another collage that shows that some man made objects can look = quite edible to gulls. In this case, the gulls just couldn't seem to = figure out why they were unable to crack this round "egg", and wasted a = lot of time attempting to do so: http://bernieb.smugmug.com/gallery/916397/4/46469810/Medium And finally a few brief notes. On Thursday both male and female cardinals = where laying low beside Hawthorne St, across from Sullivan's. At least 2 = of the 3 male Eurasian Wigeons in the Dartmouth area were at the Pond, = and as of yesterday (Friday) there were still 7 American Coots.
