All:

I should have reported that Eric Mills and I found a genuine Killdeer on the
Shannon Park playing field (at Tufts Cove) on Wednesday 21 March.

At the same site the day before, where Blake Maybank et al. had found a
yellow-legged (and possibly Yellow-legged) gull, I counted total of 82
Black-headed Gulls hunkered down in the snow and SW gale. Three combined
variables seem to promote large gull roosts there: high tide, bad weather, and
lack of playing children or dogs off leash (usually early morning on weekends).

Cheers, Ian McLaren
