Index of Subjects Dorothy Poole, David Walmark and I spent some time birding today. On the ferry crossing at the mouth of the LaHave River there were two red-throated loons. At Bayport, there were 700 greater scaup, 270 common goldeneyes. Eleven lesser scaup and a redhead was also with this grouping. I was told the brown thasher was singing yesterday. I'll have to monitor this. I saw a rock pigeon going with a twig in Lunenburg, a definite sign of nest building. 37 species was the count over a four hour period. James R.
