The Harris Sparrow at #4764 Hwy 332, East LaHave, Lun. Co. was still showing well
but periodically when Anne and I left about 10 this morning. It appears to be a winter adult,
and is a fine sight.
Hwy 332, which runs south along the east bank of the LaHave River, is probably
most directly accessed from Hwy 103 by taking exit 12 and driving south into Bridgewater. At
the four-way traffic lights, turn right, then angle left toward the shopping mall, then angle left
again to pass the mall and Sobeys on the right. Do not cross the bridge. Several km farther S
along the river, turn right onto Hwy 332 toward Riverport. The location is about 2km N of the
LaHave ferry crossing.
It's worth noting that the bird is very shy, and shelters in various patches of brush
close to the feeders. It would be possible to spook it very easily so it would be best to watch
for it from the house, given David and Pat Watson's permission.
	Eric
