Index of Subjects Hi Lois, after hurricane Katrina I had a huge influx of these cuckoos..all starving....either did not migrate or strayed from their path and found themselves without a food supply. This year I am hearing the same story...less birds..but the same thing. Makes me wonder Helene -----Original Message----- From: naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca [mailto:naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca]On Behalf Of Lois Codling Sent: Tuesday, December 26, 2006 10:03 PM To: Nature NS Subject: [NatureNS] Yellow-billed Cuckoo This morning my brother, who is visiting us for Christmas, discovered a corpse of what appears to be a Yellow-billed Cuckoo in the garden. Looks like it has been dead a couple of weeks or so. I've put it in a plastic bag in the freezer in case the Museum would like it. Lois Codling L. Sackville
