Today ( Dec. 11) I = trekked though the MacLellan Marsh between along the East R. of Pictou = below the Aberdeen Hospital. I was hoping for a few regular late fall = birds such as common yellowthroat and swamp sparrow but no luck. I did = however see a PIED-BILLED GREBE, a nice uncommon Pictou County winter = bird. The Lark Sparrow was present in my driveway for a short period = just after dawn. In the warmer weather birds are spending less time in = the yard.=20 =20 Hi all = Dec. 10, 2006 =20 At 7:15 this morning ( Dec. 10) the Lark Sparrow was feeding on = some scattered seed on my driveway ( 4894 East River East Side Road in = Plymouth, Pictou Co) and was seen from time to time throughout the day. = It seemed much more perky than yesterday maybe as a result of the = constant feeding yesterday evening.=20 I did not see the Little Gull this afternoon as most of the = small gulls were not at Chance Harbour this afternoon. A good number of = small gulls (Bonaparte's) were at Powells Point Park and another large = number of gulls were present at Melmerby Beach Provincial Park where = there were in excess of "5000" Red-breasted Mergansers at the mouth of = Merigomish Harbour at dusk.=20 For the winter list, a small flock of 12 CEDAR WAXWINGS were = observed at Central Caribou this afternoon.=20 cheers Ken ------=_NextPart_000_006F_01C721C1.25B5E1B0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.2900.2873" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Ken, how do I subsribe to the NS = RBA?</FONT></DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE dir=3Dltr=20 style=3D"PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; = BORDER-LEFT: #000000 2px solid; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px"> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial">----- Original Message ----- </DIV> <DIV=20 style=3D"BACKGROUND: #e4e4e4; FONT: 10pt arial; font-color: = black"><B>From:</B>=20 <A title=3Dkenmcken@pchg.net href=3D"mailto:kenmcken@pchg.net">Ken = McKenna</A>=20 </DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>To:</B> <A = title=3DNS-RBA@yahoogroups.com=20 href=3D"mailto:NS-RBA@yahoogroups.com">NS-RBA</A> </DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Cc:</B> <A = title=3Dnaturens@chebucto.ns.ca=20 href=3D"mailto:naturens@chebucto.ns.ca">NatureNS</A> </DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Sent:</B> Monday, December 11, 2006 = 6:59=20 PM</DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Subject:</B> [NatureNS] PIED-BILLED = GREBE,=20 CEDAR WAXWING</DIV> <DIV><BR></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Ken McKenna<BR>Box 218 Stellarton = NS<BR>B0K=20 1S0<BR>902 752-7644<BR><A=20 href=3D"mailto:kenmcken@pchg.net">kenmcken@pchg.net</A> = </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Hi=20 = all &nbs= p;  = ; = &= nbsp; &n= bsp; &nb= sp; &nbs= p; =20 </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>I sent the below message yesterday, = but I don't=20 see it on either narturens or NS RBA. so I will repeat it below.
