Hi Everyone; We've had a fine start to the winter bird list, with at least 111 species noted across the province. The URL for the web site is: http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/maybank/other/nswinter.htm There are still many common species not yet recorded, and there have been some superb rarities: Redwing Bell's Vireo Ruby-throated Hummingbird Painted Bunting Glossy Ibis Sandhill Crane Cattle Egret Other provinces have begun their lists as well -- Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Quebec, and PEI. Their pages are linked to the one above. Quebec is well ahead of us at the moment, which is unexpected, but we'll catch up. Please post any updates or corrections to NatureNS, or contact me directly.
