While discussing recent events a Pine Warbler dropped down into the trees at Ardwell and Tartan and began foraging. I managed some photos as it tussled with a sunflower seed. OK, so a House Sparrow is not a big deal in most urban locations but it is in Portuguese Cove. Our local hamlet's population of this European immigrant was devastated three years ago and we've never had one in our back yard until today. After tallying 150ish yard birds in six years this was our first House Sparrow here. Two Pine Warbler pics are attached.
