<b><span style=3D'font-wei This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --Boundary_(ID_4PE6fRCBG7Dj6aQkR5eSBg) Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Winter birding has arrived! Last week Harlequin Ducks, Black Scoters. Common Loons and Long-tailed Ducks arrived at Crystal Crescent Beach PP. American Pipits, Lapland Longspurs, Horned Larks, Tree Sparrows and Snow Buntings are about most days, but not every day. Interestingly, the American Pipit and the Tree Sparrow are the only members of that bunch that I've actually seen successfully overwinter here. This morning I was delighted to encounter four Harlequin Ducks at Island Rock Head and was successful in getting some distant photographs. I posted 14 photos leading off with the always challenging Northern Gannet, followed by lots of scenery and closing with a Lapland Longspur.
