Oct. 31, 2006 - New Minas sewage ponds: 2 first-year (juvenile) DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS, and a few dozens of TEALS (no doubt most or all were GREEN-WINGED TEALS, and a few males were changing into breeding plumage) -- also a couple of dozen RING-BILLED GULLS, no other gulls of note. Port Williams sewage ponds: only about 6 MALLARDS + 2 BLACK DUCKS. New Minas Ducks Unlimited pond: no water birds at all. Cheers from Jim in Wolfville, 542-9204 --------------------- Jim (James W.)
