28 October 2006
Wagner's Beach, Prospect Peninsula, Halifax Regional Municipality
(Map = http://maybank.tripod.com/BSNS/Change/HRM-C.htm#update )

It was cloudy and windy at Wagner's Beach today, the gale before the
storm. The recent N and NW winds have certainly changed the flavous
of the local birds. Highlights today included:

75+ Northern Gannets
3 Lapland Longspurs
2 Horned Larks
1 American Pipit
1 American Tree Sparrow (my first of the autumn)
3 Red-necked Grebes

Good birding,
