Hello,

James Hirtle's recent post about Common Grackles reminded me that yesterday
(October 23) on the way back home from a few errands Wendy and I saw a HUGE
flock of these birds flying from the direction of the Bedford Basin towards
Fairview/Clayton Park. We were in a moving vehicle in an impossible-to-stop
situation but I would estimate that there was between 2000 and 3000 birds in
total. Hopefully other birders in Halifax may have witnessed the sight!!

Cheers,

Bob McDonald
