Hello, Yesterday's Herald had a photo with a caption but no further details regarding the discovery of a new bird species in the Andean cloud forest near Bogota, Columbia. Apparently, two birds were captured and one was released unharmed. HMMM.... It's a lovely little thing that can be seen at the following web site. http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/newsid_4800000/newsid_4802000/4802087.stm I scanned the on-line edition of the Herald but could find no further details. However a Google search revealled several articles including the one above. Nevertheless, I am reluctant to begin planning a birding foray to the jungles of Columbia.... Cheers, Bob McDonald Halifax
