This morning in front of my place on Lyles Bay in Port Clyde there was a =
mature Bald Eagle hunting. It made numerous swoops low over the water =
and finally made one last swoop and settled on the water surface much =
like a gull.

It was on the water for at least 5 minutes doing what appeared to be =
resting and finally took off. It had its prey in its talons but I could =
not id what it was successful in capturing.

I have been observing birds and their behavior for about 50 years but =
this was the first time I saw an eagle swimming
other than in a video. It was also a sight seeing an eagle take flight =
from the surface of the water.

Sandy
