There was a fine assortment of shorebirds at Cherry Hill Beach today, although in small numbers: 58 Black-bellied Plover 3 American Golden Plover 198 Semipalmated Plover 1 juv. Piping Plover (with what appeared to be a broken foot) 1 Hudsonian Godwit 1 Ruddy Turnstone 9 Red Knot 66 Sanderling 3 Semipalmated Sandpiper 30 Least Sandpiper 3 White-rumped Sandpiper 13 Pectoral Sandpiper 6 Dunlin 1 Buff-breasted Sandpiper 6 Short-billed Dowitcher A Baird's Sandpiper present Aug. 23-Sept. 17 was not seen today.
