All: I've often wondered what's up when I've seen (quite often over 40+ years) large numbers (once estimated as over 3000 per hour) Greater Shearwaters streaming past the western shore of Seal Island during late August and early September, especially on fine days with westerlies. I had always thought it was a local movement out of the Bay of Fundy, perhaps to return by alternate routes. But, I guess they were outward bound. Cheers, Ian McLaren
