Andrew, I just heard this morning that some have been caught in the last
week in our bay around Ingramport and Masons point by anglers fishing for
Mackerel. They apparently did not know what they had caught. For anyone who does
want to fish for them, a steel leader is essential because of their razor
sharp teeth which can easily chomp a finger off the unwary. When they are
feeding almost anything will catch them but a chunk of Mackerel or blue and white
surface plug usually works best. They do not freeze well but are delicious
fresh on the Barbeque.
