A New Approach!

Think that all real estate transactions are the same?  Wondering the best approach to selling your home?  Looking for ways to make your home or office more organized, attractive, and perhaps increase its value in the marketplace?  Then you’d better make your way to the Halifax Women’s Network meeting on March 1st.  Even if you aren’t looking to sell today, our two presenters have a novel approach to Real Estate that is worth finding out about – it is changing the way this industry works.

Ron Stuart has an exciting, new approach to real estate brokerage in which the consumer may buy the professional services they need and pay what they're worth, instead of the traditional commission-based model where one size fits all and the consumer pays according to the price of their house.

Melanie Orr will explain the why’s, how’s, and what’s of Home Staging – a new technique that is featured on television shows such as “Sell This House” and is now in Halifax.

Main Stage:        Melanie Orr, Interiors Working for You  and
                            Ron Stuart, HarbourSide Realty Ltd.

Member Showcase:    Jill Burton, Business Development Bank of Canada
What:         Halifax Women's Network Education and Networking Event
Where:
SMU,
Sobey Building, Room 255
When:        Wednesday, March 1, 7pm to 9 pm

Melanie Orr has been Staging, educating and mentoring since the spring of 2004, when she was one of the first Atlantic Canadians to become an ASP™ (Accredited Staging Professional) and introduce this exciting new home selling tool to the Metro Halifax market place. With a background in real estate (15 years a REALTOR®) and décor (graduate of the Sheffield School of Interior Design) she is very well positioned to be a pioneering member of this new field. Melanie went on to become a CSP™ (Canadian Staging Professional) and remains to date the only local Stager with both professional designations. Melanie is a founding member of Accredited Home Stagers Atlantic. She is always delighted to spread the awareness of Staging as a highly effective tool to sell a home quickly and for top dollar.  www.interiorsworking.com

Real estate brokerage is a chosen second career for Ron Stuart following a very successful 20+ years in the IT industry. He has been in real estate practise for 14 years, a partner in Halifax-based HarbourSide Realty Ltd. and is currently President of the 1600 plus member Nova Scotia Association of REALTORS (NSAR). www.ronstuart.com
