-William's birth year and age are uncertain as there is a discrepancy between sources. His age at death as cited in the Royal Gazette, 9 Jan 1844 page 3 was age 70, implying he was born in 1774. However, his tombstone in St. Joachim's cemetery states he died aged 67, implying he was born 1777.
The family of Keoughan's living in Avondale William and Martin appear to be nephews of William and immigrated in 1830's to PEI (later than William and Barbara) from Ireland
.William had a son Patrick whose homestead was in back of the old Mike Kelly home on Brothers Rd near the 48 Road corner where the Gill Blacksmith Forge was located. Patrick's sons William (bachelor on homeplace until his death in the late 40's) and his brother Jack's wife Mary( after being widowed) remained raising Mary and Jack's 4 children on the old place until end of ww2. The 4 Keoughan children from Jack & Mary Keoughan were: Eileen (Mrs. Ken Oldham, Halifax, Marjorie, Toronto, Roy and Billy Keoughan).
Martin Keoughan and wife Anastasia Clohossey parented Joe, Julian, Frank and John Alphonsus. Fonce married Sarah Fraser and their daughters Rita and Mary and their descendanrs still have the old homestead on the Avondale Road.
William and his wife Barbara Aitken First Lived with her parents in St Andrews Kings Co Next lived in Vernon Bridge (presently Drake Truck Parts)
Next lived in Crown Pt, Pownal and then to Seal River, PEI
