Start42 is a small Windows 95 utility that randomly selects a Start menu label and tooltip each time you start your computer.
You can customize the list of labels and tooltips using Notepad or any other text editor for supreme flexibility. (Kind of like those people who can eat their own heads.)
Download the ZIP file, unzip it anywhere (your Windows directory will do), and run Start42.exe from that directory. That's it. Run it again to uninstall. Easy enough?
WARNING: Some users have reported problems uninstalling Start42. Occasionally the label and tooltip get "stuck". Please email me if you are having this problem and I will give you instructions to correct it.
Oh yeah, Start42 currently only supports the English-language version of Windows 95. I'll be adding support for Italian and German versions as soon as I figure out what "Start" is in those languages -- and if you have another language that you would like Start42 to support, please just let me know at aa529@chebucto.ns.ca.
In the next version: Randomize the Start menu icon.
