So we put in a new version, but there are major > configuration changes. Absolutely. I think, best case, notification would have been sent out with info about changes to configuration, but ... horse out of the barn and all that. > First thing: I am told that we can look up Horde on Google for a lot > of practical answers. I have not yet tried this :-) but a number of > our volunteers have had good luck. Okie dokie ... very bizarre Delete functionality. Click boxes to select ... one mis-stroke and all the check marks disappear. Have to hit Delete to make them stick. Click a box to select, hit Delete ... uncheck, hit Delete, message is still marked <strike>. Years / decades ago I did a comprehensive survey of this sort of platform I found 0.00 worth the effort, though some are //not quite as terrible as the others//. (WordPress as CMS is the closest I came to success.) > Second: I think that Thunderbird can be configured using IMAP > protocol. We use it at the CCN office. Gotcha. I have an IMAP configuration sitting in T'Bird ... back when netscape.net had EMail service. > Deleting: > The Horde webmail uses a two step deletion process, as do some other > mail apps. Yup, as reported. > Second, go to the Other drop down near the top right of the window, > and select "Purge Deleted". Should remove the marked messages. Oh for heaven sake. Good thing they don't have "Purge" right beside "Delete"; we might accidentally do the right thing intuitively! ;-p That sort of design decision makes me crazy. If they were that stunned on such a simple thing, what else did they frab? But thanks. Done. > I'm not sure whether you need to purge before moving on to another page. If ever I use that function I'll let you know ... if I remember. > See if this gets you started. Just what the doctor ordered, Ed. I appreciate your attention and good effort. continued success! > Ed --ben
