Hi Ben,

Sorry for the delay in responding to your message. Been off=20
doing other things not mail related.

Re unexpected change: We had a serious security problem, and it=20
was not possible to update the version of the Horde mailer=20
which we were using for webmail. So we put in a new version,=20
but there are major configuration changes.

First thing: I am told that we can look up Horde on Google for a=20
lot of practical answers. I have not yet tried this :-) but a=20
number of our volunteers have had good luck.

Second: I think that Thunderbird can be configured using IMAP protocol.=20
We use it at the CCN office. There are instructions on the=20
Chebucto Plus documentation.

=09Try Secure Chebucto IMAP Mail Settings half way down at=20
http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/PPP/securemail.shtml
or ask for more info...

Deleting:

The Horde webmail uses a two step deletion process, as do some=20
other mail apps. First delete one or more messages, which=20
causes them to be displayed with a line through the itm in the=20
Hord Mail page. Second, go to the Other drop down near the top=20
right of the window, and select "Purge Deleted". Should remove=20
the marked messages. I'm not sure whether you need to purge=20
before moving on to another page. ymmv

See if this gets you started.
