This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --Boundary_(ID_7WVBjTgMdj4zYEJbYRU6Jw) Content-type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable Hello helpful chebucto from user name rsmith. I have transferred most operations to a new laptop and may have lost a = previous email looking for help around July 25. The transfer is to Windows 7 and the old MS Outlook Express has been = replaced by a thing called Windows Live Mail. As far as I am concerned = it=E2=80=99s worse than OE but I=E2=80=99m stuck with it now.=20 I have set up email as incoming POP3 chebucto.ns.ca and outgoing SMTP = as smtp.eastlink.ca and the rest as the default provided. I do need the = POP system in order to keep the mail on the computer. I need to set up a dialup connection and wish I could somehow = incorporate it into the same account. Previously in OE I had just one = account and when sending, I chose dial up (chebucto) or high speed = (eastlink) connection in the =E2=80=9CTo=E2=80=9D window. This is not an option in this new Live Mail program so I had to = establish a new account with outgoing SMTP as chebucto.ns.ca in order to = send messages by dialup. This caused great confusion as I got some mail = in the chebucto and some in the eastlink account. To reply I had to use = whatever connection the account had. I ended up deleting the dial up = account. In a previous phone enquiry back in March I asked why I couldn=E2=80=99t = send mail while I was away, but I could receive it. Your helpful tech = person mentioned there was a way to configure my chebucto mail so I = could send messages out over the chebucto account where ever I was. I = didn=E2=80=99t do it at the time. Maybe this kind of configuration = would allow me to send mail out over just one account and have the dial = up as a backup. Thanks for listening and I hope you can help. Call anytime at 488-8492.
