I am a little disappointed in Chebucto. I received an email from a
friend today who sent a zip attachment with a docx file included
inside for me to read. I spoke with someone in the office who
declined to identify themselves and was told that the attachment is
not recoverable.

I think that this is unacceptable. I don't particularly mind that you
are safeguarding my email, however I do not like the policy that you
are not archiving these attachments for at least a short period in
case these are deleted by your mistake. Even my office's system
quarantines spam in a holding area instead of deleting them
automatically.

Chebucto had better rethink deleting of docx files as this is the
upcoming (if not now) standard for ms office documents.

I should not have to email my friend and ask them to send the document
in another format or compression protocol.

When questioned about needing to have to use another email address, it
was encouraged. Well, if I have to start using another email address,
such as google or yahoo as suggested, then why bother maintaining my
Chebucto account.

In reality I do not believe that you can afford to start losing customers.

Regards,

Glen Merrick
