Our mandate is: Working with Nova Scotians through education and action, to achieve environmentally healthy communities. Clean Nova Scotia is currently accepting resumes for the following positions: 1) Program Development Coordinator Clean Nova Scotia is currently seeking a Program Development Coordinator as a maternity leave replacement (ending March 2006). The Program Development Coordinator is responsible for developing new programs, researching and meeting potential funders, and writing proposals. The Program Development Coordinator also assists the Executive Director and sits on Clean Nova Scotia’s advisory committees. The Program Development Coordinator is a member of the Management Team. The successful candidate will have a degree in environmental studies/science. You have experience working with a non-profit organization and developing new programs from the initial stages to the funding stage. You have experience developing workplans, budgets and partnerships (A portfolio of proposals will be requested and there will be a proposal writing component to the interview). You are creative, knowledgeable about environmental issues, possess strong oral and written communication skills and have a proven track record of working independently and with a team. 2) Energy Programs Officer Clean Nova Scotia is seeking a Program Officer to work with our Energy Programs Team. The Program Assistant is responsible for providing support to Clean Nova Scotia’s Energy Hotline and the Home Energy Evaluations. The successful candidate will posses an environmental science degree or related discipline. You will have a working knowledge of home energy and environmental issues. You possess strong communication skills and are comfortable working with the public. You have experience using Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel and Access. You have a proven track record of working well individually and in a team environment. This is a six month full time contract position with the possibility of renewal.
