In this workshop you will meet some of the more common plants found in
your backyard and watch how they can be transformed into tinctures,
vinegars, oils, and ointments. We will make a lip balm together that
you can take home with you. Elizabeth Mills and Erica deSousa have been

studying and making herbal medicines for many years.

Plants at Risk

With an increase in the use of herbal medicine comes and increase impact
of our wild populations of herbs. Join Cheendana in seeing a video of
United Plant Savers, meet a few of the at risk plants, and learn about
ethical harvesting. Cheendana (Lorie-Ann Martin MT), a massage therapist
and at home herbalist, has been a member of United Plant Saver for
several years and has a keen interest in knowing about the impact of
herbal medicine on our wild plant populations.
