Thanks! ____________________________________________________________________________ Tatamagouche Centre is presenting a workshop on: Supporting and Celebrating Local Food Systems March 19 - 21, Fri. 7 pm - Sun. 1 pm Imagine our school and work cafeterias bursting with local lettuce and salads, fresh vegetables warm from the sun brought right to your door, local groceries and deli's piled with products made by neighbours and farmers down the lane... Dare to dream with food! This workshop is for anyone who loves or grows food and wants to find ways to promote healthy eating, and local community economic development. We'll visit local farmers markets, hear about community, shared agriculture programs and relish in the possibilities of good food and healthy communities. We'll design strategies to support and celebrate local food systems for our schools, communities, church and religious groups. This workshop will truly stimulate your senses. Leadership: Mary Lou Morgan, is a founder of Foodshare, Toronto which provides local and organic vegetables to low-income communities, she also co-founded "The Big Carrot" natural food store; Av Singh, is the organic specialist for AgraPoint and co-editor of The Guide to Local Food in the Tatamagouche Area, Trudy Watts, Program Resource Group and Herbalist.
