On Saturday, April 26, 2003, the Nova Scotia Chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society will hold its Annual General Meeting. Renowned marine ecologist Dr. Ken Mann will make a keynote presentation about the ecology of St. Margaret's and Mahone Bays. A free, guided, coastal hike through the Ketch Harbour Barrens will follow the meeting. The meeting will be held at the Chocolate Lake Recreation Centre, 14 Purcell's Cove Rd, Halifax (near Spryfield), from 12 until 2:30 pm. The hike will commence at approximately 3pm on Ketch Harbour East Rd (you can follow us from the meeting). In the event of heavy rain the hike may be cancelled, so call in advance in the case of inclement weather. CPAWS members and other people interested in nature conservation are encouraged to attend. 2002 was the busiest year ever for CPAWS-NS, and we have ambitious plans for 2003. Please come to the meeting to find out more and provide your insights.
