And, Mr. Anderson went on to say that Canadians expect their federal government to show leadership on this critical issue. So is our government living up to this challenge? The answer is sadly no. Five years after Canada signed the Kyoto agreement to reduce greenhouse gases, we still have not ratified the agreement. Instead, the federal government is trying to weaken the Kyoto rules so Canada can get additional credits for clean energy exports.
