Friday July 6 A gypsy moth bloom has been occurring this month and has people in Wolfville concerned. A 2 block area containing some 12 houses is now home to uncounted millions of caterpillars. Some residents have been staying indoors for the past several weeks. On Friday the bloom was visited by Stacey Campbell, a local journalist. Mr. Campbell stated, "There were so many caterpillars in the trees we could hear them eating all around us." Reportedly caterpillar dropping are raining on the local residents and hanging out laundry is a waste of time. They are also blanketing the ground and if you stand still large numbers of them will crawl up your legs, said Mr. Campbell.
